Creating A Room

A room in the iBilikPlus system is typically the rooms under each unit or house.

For example, Condominium XYZ is considered a property and there will be units under this condominium. Inside each unit, there will be a few rooms.

If it is a landed unit, the housing area like Taman XYZ is considered the property and there will be several houses(listed at the unit level) . Inside each house(listed at unit), there will be a few rooms.


During the creation of unit, the number of rooms has already been configured. Now it’s time to adjust each room’s information.

      1. In the Menu on your left, click Property and select Grid View.
      2. Click the Three Dots button then select Update Unit to configure your room settings.

      3. Go to the Room tab
      4. Adjust the room details accordingly or add any tenancy, meter, lock, expense or equipment to the room

How to edit/update a room?
  1. In the Menu on the left, click “Property” and select Grid View.
  2. Click the “⋮” button and then select Update Unit to configure your room settings.
  3. Go to the room tab
  4. Adjust the room details accordingly or add any tenancy, meter, lock, expense or equipment to the room.
  5. Once done, click “Submit”
How to rename a room?
  1. In the Menu on the left, click “Property” and select Grid View.
  2. Find the desired room and click its name.
  3. Type in the desired room name.
  4. Once done, click “Submit”
How to add/delete a room?
  1. In the Menu on the left, click “Property” and select “Grid View”
  2. Find the unit you wish to update regarding the addition or deletion of a room.
  3. Click the “⋮” button and then select Update Unit to configure your room settings.
  4. Increase or decrease the number of rooms accordingly.
  5. Click “Submit” once done.

Can I add carparks to my units/rooms?

Yes, you can.

For example, if your unit comes with 3 rooms and 2 carparks, you can create this unit with 5 rooms and label 2 of them as a carpark. Should a tenant decide to rent a room and a carpark space, you can proceed to create 2 tenancies for this tenant (1 for the room and 1 for the carpark)

I am renting out by beds instead of rooms. How do I key that into the system?

Instead of using the system traditionally with the tiers of property, unit and room, you may treat these tiers as follows.

The property will be treated as the “unit”.
The unit will be treated as the “room”.
The room will be treated as the “bed”.

This way, you are able to have an individual tenancy for each bed.
